The approach taken
No cookie is stored before you have expressed a choice, other than those strictly necessary for the site to function. No advertising cookie, social network pixel or cross-site tracker is used.
Strictly necessary cookie and local storage
- Language preference — remembers the language chosen so it is not asked again on every visit. Duration: 12 months.
- Display preference — the light or dark theme selected is kept in the browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. It remains there until you clear site data.
- Consent choice — when analytics is offered, your answer is kept in local storage and you are asked again after 6 months.
- Anti-bot protection — when a form is submitted, Cloudflare’s Turnstile service produces a single-use token sent with the form. No cookie is set on this site for that purpose.
These items fall within the consent exemption: they are necessary to deliver the service you request.
Analytics
If you accept, anonymous analytics tells us which pages are read and through which channels. It creates no individual profile, does not follow browsing across sites, and transmits no data for advertising purposes. Declining has no effect on how the site works.
